(This was originally one post with another Yotsuya place. Check that here)

This is a very friendly place that is easy to go to on your own. It is the sort of place where you are sure to get talking to whoever is at the counter. Marumugi has more to offer craft beer drinkers than Mates (see below), but they are so close together that I suggest visiting both. The entrance to Marumugi is at the start of a lane that is like a miniature Golden Gai. No craft beer establishments, but some interesting looking bars if you are the adventurous type.
– Six counter seats and a table for eight.
– Pints (I think US size) are ¥1000. Half pints are ¥700. There is also a 3 beer taster set for ¥1000. The daily taplist and food menu is on their blog.
– There is no charge and it is completely non-smoking.
Japanese breweries on tap when I visited:
Ise Kadoya
Coedo
Minamishinshu
Preston
Aqula
