Yup! is somewhere that I have walked past many times, always intending to pop in at some stage but never actually doing so. That is until now. Finally I’ve managed to have a beer there. Here’s what you need to know (sorry, this is all quite brief).
- Small shop, mainly standing but with four or five stools. It’s a cafe with coffee, donuts and craft beer and it seems that they care quite a bit about all of those things. Interesting decor and had quite a nice feel to it.
- Four taps of Japanese craft, served in the usual sizes with the halves ranging from ¥1050-¥1200 and the pints ranging from ¥1600-¥1800. So it’s a little more expensive than some other places but it does seem that these kind of prices are becoming increasingly normal recently. And as it seems to be an independent place, you can’t really hold it against them.
- No cover charge, lots of daytime opening. Couldn’t find WiFi.
I have to say, I’m pleased I finally made it here after passing by so many times. It was a nice place to have a drink and the staff seemed friendly. I’ll definitely consider stopping in again when I next walk past. I feel like it must be very popular with locals and if I lived a bit closer I think I’d be back there quite often.
