Futako Brewery is a brewpub in Setagaya. I popped in for a burger lunch and of course, beer. There are two small counters, one facing the kitchen and beer tanks and the other facing a wall. In total, I think there were seven counter seats and table seating for at least 20 people. There are seven taps and all of them were their own. Four were from their regular lineup and three were seasonal beers. The styles on tap when I went were; Pale Ale, IPA, White Ale, Yuzu Ginger White Ale, Cacao Stout and ESB. Beers came in two sizes, regular (300ml) and Pints (473ml). Prices ranged from ¥880 to ¥980 for the regular and ¥1,210 to ¥1,320 for the pints. There was also a beer flight option of any three beers for ¥1,320. I estimated the beer flight glasses to be somewhere between 130ml to 150ml. I thought all the prices were pretty good. I had the IPA, which I liked and I tried a flight consisting of the Pale Ale, the Cacao Stout and the ESB (extra special bitter). The ESB was particularly good and my favorite beer from the flight. There was also a selection of cans from other breweries to supplement their own beers so there was definitely something for everyone.
The lunch burger was nice and the food menu was pretty extensive. There was also a Beer and two Snacks lunchtime set for ¥1,630. That gets you a pint of your choosing and two things from the appetizer menu. The atmosphere at Futako Brewery is more like a taproom or restaurant than a noisy pub. I liked it and would definitely recommend it as a place to go for lunch or dinner, either alone or with friends. Futako Brewery has daytime opening every day and free WiFi.
